Why in the world would another person wish for harm (or even worse) on another person, when all that person did was go hunting with her father?
It’s even worse when the target of that vitriol is a 12-year old girl.
Young Aryanna Gourdin from Utah visited Africa last week with her father, and now the haters are out in full swing.
Of course, death threats are out in full force, and other crazy comments are stirring after seeing Aryanna posing with a zebra, a giraffe, and other animals she shot while in Africa.
These hunts were perfectly legal, but there will still be people that are just a little nuts with their reaction to a girl doing something she loves.
This is what hunting is all about: practicing good conservation and sharing time with family and friends.
The trip was one of many the pair have taken with no notice over the past five years, but this time her Facebook postings quickly made her a topic of heated discussion. One photo received over 73,000 comments, with some users are calling her “sick” and an “animal hater.” Supporters posted encouraging messages, including one reading, “Let the haters hate! Hunt away Aryanna.”
In a post on Tuesday, Aryanna acknowledged the uproar. “My last profile picture was very offensive to others and I have learned my lesson with that pose, I apologize.”
Some of the more extreme comments went so far as to threaten her and her father’s lives.
“We’re proud to be hunters, and we’ll never apologize for being a hunter,” Gourdin said… [continued]
