Doe Gives Birth to Six Fawns? Picture Suggests It’s True

Motion-sensor wildlife cameras are great scouting devices, yet the nature images they capture can be more exciting.

For example, the picture above shows a doe with six fawns, one partially obscured by the doe’s body. Could this female whitetail possibly give birth to such a large litter of young? We can’t know for sure; investigate this mysterious image on the QDMA website.

QDMA member Shawn Koontz of Pennsylvania captured some phenomenal trail-camera photos on July 13, and he asked me about them. The photos show an adult doe in the company of six fawns (one of them is difficult to see but is standing behind the doe). Did this doe give birth to six fawns? [continued]
