Not everything goes as planned as deer hunters. Sometimes the deer don’t cooperate. Sometimes we make a mistake that makes a hunt go sour.

I’m not sure what happened, but it looks as if they forgot to load a slug into their muzzleloader, and only only fired powder.
When things like this happen, chalk it up to human error, and move on. Not every hunt is going to turn out the way we’d like. If you can take one thing from this video, it should be to remember to load a slug into your muzzlelaoder before you shoot. You might want to cry at first if this ever happened to you, but later down the road you will laugh about it… probably.
