Few animals can thwart the charge of an adult grizzly bear, yet American Bison (buffalo) can handle North America’s top predator if they stick together. This interaction simulates African lions on the open plains where some animals know when to run and when to stand their ground. Like most predators, you’ll see the grizzly go for the young calves as older cows and bulls defend them.
