Guns of the U.S. Presidents

Many United States presidents owned firearms. Some, like Theodore Roosevelt, consistently used them for recreation and sports hunting. In today’s era of divisive politics, this topic isn’t discussed as it once was, yet an M1 rifle purchased by President John F. Kennedy for $169 recently sold for $149,500. Here’s a review of firearms enjoyed by many of our Presidents from the pages of American Rifleman magazine.

In this, an election year, the candidates’ positions on Second Amendment issues are being debated at many levels. New Executive Orders and legislation have placed the White House at the center of the never-ending discussion on a citizen’s Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
