Here’s Why You’ll Want to Hunt Squirrels While on Your Back [VIDEO]

Hunting squirrels during the harsh winter months is tough. Early in the season, squirrels seem to be everywhere. Food supplies are abundant, squirrels are less wary, and leafy branches restrict the squirrel’s vision, allowing for closer shots.

As the season comes to an end, squirrel hunting gets harder. The population has lessened from harvest by hunters, as well as death due to the cold winter they’ve had to endure.

Whatever a hunter can do to put the odds in his or her favor should be done. That might mean changing your shooting position, as outlined in this video.

This is probably one of the best shooting positions there is to get those pesky squirrels that are hanging out in the tops of trees.

I really enjoyed the view from the scope as these squirrels were lined up in the crosshairs, but I don’t think I’d want to try it when there’s a lot of snow on the ground.
