One of the easiest and most persistent reasons to miss a deer is to shoot over its back. You can stand on level ground and pound a target with a 1,000 arrows, then climb into a stand and shoot over a deer at the same distance. Although today’s high-tech rangefinders compensate for downward angles, distance is rarely the problem.
