Whether you shoot a bow, crossbow, rifle, shotgun or pistol, do it with both eyes open.
If you’ve developed the habit of closing one peeper, this video may “open your eyes” to what you are missing.
By using both eyes, you’ll have a much larger picture of what’s happening, particularly in hunting situations.
Is a bigger buck following the one you’re tracking? Is a tree about to come into the sight picture? Do you have more time to shoot?
All of these questions will become more evident with both eyes wide open, and you’ll still maintain your sight picture.
Professional shooter Doug Koenig provides a host of helpful tips in this video from the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
