Sometimes what you think will be the perfect shot goes off target.
The slightest move by the animal once the arrow is shot from the bow could have you making contact several inches below your desired spot, or, in this case, feet away from the vitals.
As you saw in the video, the buck received an arrow to his rack. Now, this won’t kill the buck or even do any real damage. But it did piss him off.
Practice and the practice some more with your archery gear. Because even the best shot will have an arrow go off-target every now and again. (Hopefully not this far off, though!)
