If you need an extra spark of motivation to venture out in the cold in late season, whether with muzzleloader, shotgun, or bow, this monster buck from Minnesota should give your aspirations a boost.
You probably won’t see one this big, but every world-class buck taken was just a wee bit smaller the year before and survived the winter, despite hunting pressure. A cool factor, beside the giant antlers, is the anticipation that the record-book buck was out there. Learn more about this Minnesota monster in this post by Tim Filiowich and Paul Lauer on the Whitetail Overload website.
We first heard about this giant whitetail buck during a “closed door” talk amongst good deer hunting buddies in October of 2014. But, rumors, myths and legends have surrounded this giant southeastern Minnesota whitetail buck for years.
The rumors were that a couple brothers had found large whitetail sheds after the 2013 season. No one in our circle could confirm that this was 100% true, but one guy in particular had some pretty close ties and claimed it to be true. Here’s a few photos of the sheds that we would later receive.
