The Quality Deer Management Association invites all hunters to submit pictures of their first deer.
Your first deer. You never forget that experience, even if you live to be 120 years old.
It’s such a magical time for any hunter that the sights, scents, and sounds of the hunt become indelibly etched in our mind. The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) offers a host of great services to deer hunters and wildlife managers, including a “First Deer” photo gallery.
If you ‘re lucky enough to accompany a first-time hunter this year or in recent years, why not submit a photo so that otherscan share in the excitement? Here’s the official invitation from QDMA.
Madeline Breaux (right), age 10, made a perfect shot on this 200-lb. Tensas Parish 7-point buck on her very first deer hunt! She made her sister, Anna Claire (left), and her dad very proud!
For more than 25 years, QDMA has been helping deer hunters produce quality hunting and quality memories by growing quality deer. Now we’re on a campaign to see those quality memories shared with NEW deer hunters. Through our national Rack Pack youth program, grassroots efforts by our volunteer Branch members, our Mentored Hunting programs and now our #FirstDeer campaign, we’re working to help new hunters of all ages experience deer hunting for the first time. Get more enjoyment out of your own deer hunting, and help share those quality memories with others, like the stories and photos shared in this photo gallery.
