Each January, the nation’s hunting and archery companies display their best bows and gear for the coming year. As usual, the 2018 show did not disappoint. Here are 3 standouts.

Hoyt REDWRX Compound-

As technologically advanced as today’s compound bows have become, you might expect products for 2018 to be about the same at previous years. WRONG! Hoyt introduced their new REDWRX line of bows that feature innovative design from top to bottom. Three models in the REDWRX line offer a host of new design features:
Hollow Carbon Riser gives the new bows incredible strength with minimal weight. This bow has been dry-fired 1500 times without failure, plus carbon is warm to the touch, a great feature on frosty morning during the rut.
80-85 Percent let-off provides the holding time you need at critical moments. Plus, the draw length is completely adjustable without a bow press so that the bow can be easily adjusted to your exact draw length.
Zero Torque and Quad-Flex limbs provide a bow that shoots comfortably and accurately time after time. Perfectly balanced the bow will rest on one finger and the newly designed grip provides the perfect width and angle for shot consistency.
Camo Colors- Hoyt wants the new REDWRX bow to be truly yours and you can custom order it with the coolest target colors or the latest camo patterns that include black, buckskin, Gore Optifade, Kuiu Verde, Realtree Edge, and Under Armour Ridge Reaper. Specialty bows can be ordered by Michael Waddell and Cameron Haines. Here’s a video that explains the line in detail: https://youtu.be/oViA4amdekk
TenPoint Crossbows
The horizontal world got plenty of attention from vendors, but none so much as TenPoint Crossbows which introduced three new models under their premium brand. These new models have been completely re-designed to shoot faster, more quietly, and with a narrow silhouette.

TenPoint’s new crossbows are narrow, powerful, and well balanced.

Nitro X– Top of the line begins with the Nitro that will launch an arrow at 440 fps making it the fastest crossbow TenPoint has produced. Designed to be cocked and de-cocked with a crank the powerful launch can be powered up or down with the turn of a handle. The powerful, reverse limb design is sleek and well balanced.
Stealth NXT– The new design of this crossbow is just six inches wide, axle-to-axle with an arrow speed of 410 fps. Cocking this powerful bow with 144 pounds of kinetic energy can be done with TenPoint’s most popular cocking systems- the ACUdraw Pro which uses a crank handle to cock and de-cock the bow or the ACUdraw 50 Sled which uses a rope and a sled to power up.
Shadow NXT– The new Shadow has an arrow speed of 380 fps from a silhouette that’s just 6.5 inches wide, axle-to-axle. Weighing just seven pounds, it packs a wallop of 120 ft. lbs. of kinetic energy, the match for any North American game animal. Very versatile, the bow can be cocked with all three TenPoint systems and carries a mid-range price. All three models are explained in more details at www.TenPointCrossbows.com
