The 2016 SHOT Show gave journalists a chance to see (and sometimes test) new products before they hit the stores. In some cases, the products are totally new, like the Crossman air gun/crossbow which is unique to the show and the industry. Other times, companies upgrade or change a product in a potentially significant way which is the case for Browning’s New Hell”s Canyon Speed gear in A-TACS Camo.
I’ve hunted with the Hell’s Canyon line over the last five years and have never been disappointed. It suppresses scent, is waterproof, and it breathes, making it ideal for many hunting situations. This year, Hell’s Canyon Speed is available in A-TACS Camo, a pattern that has been developed by a “mathematical algorithm that uses the pixels in nature in a whole new way.” I’m not quite sure what that means, but I can say that the camo pattern is much lighter than leaf-and-twig patterns, and in many cases that’s a good thing. Don’t be surprised if this new pattern takes off, especially with those who love tactical shooting, as it has an open desert look. For more information, visit browning.com.
