Rubs on trees are a common occurrence throughout deer habitat. Catching a buck rubbing a sapling, pawing the ground, and licking a branch is an occurrence that’s often seen by hunters.
However, seeing a buck remove the velvet from its antlers is rarely seen in person or captured on video. Steve Porter’s Trophy Whitetails captured this event and shared it on Facebook. You’ll see lots of blood, because the velvet contains a mass of blood vessels. Watch this incredible process.
Bonehead finally shed!! I got some fantastic footage of him shedding! The winner of the contest is Colette Bost!!! Please message us your mailing information so we can send you your prizes!
