Loading a deer into the bed of a pickup can be a nightmare without help. Two years ago, I stopped to check a stand in mid-afternoon. After spotting a very fresh scrape, I decided to sit the stand for an hour, just in case. Ten minutes later, a three-year-old buck came by and quickly went down. I didn’t have my usual gear with me, including a knife, and tried to load the buck for an hour, backing up to a log, and then a stump. I just could not get the job done on my own. Eventually, I had to pull the buck behind the truck and get help. This device solves the lone-loading problem and can easily be stored behind the front seat.
