Hunters are always looking for easier, cheaper methods to acquire the gear they need. Some gear is expensive and hard to justify purchasing. An alternative hunters have on some items is to make their own. This is not possible with much of the gear we use, but when it is, I try to put it to use.
The satisfaction that comes with do-it-yourself projects that eventually lead to the harvest of game animals makes the hunt that much more special. Are you in the need for a new teal call? How about making your own out of two shotgun shells? I recommend using two brass cartridges. It will take some practice to get the call down, but it will be rewarding in the end.
