Deer hunters are always competing against the weather. Rain isn’t always a bad thing; it can actually work to your advantage in some ways.
What a lot of hunters have trouble with is knowing when bucks move, and how they work their scrape line during the rain.
After a rain, scents that were once in a scrape have been washed away. This is a perfect time to get out and add some scent to a scrape to get a buck to come by and check things out.
Bucks will go out between breaks in the rain to check their scrapes and refresh them.
This is a perfect time to use a product like Haze aerosol scents to freshen up scrapes; this will entice bucks to visit scrapes.
Pay attention to the weather, and look for gaps in the rain. When you have those gaps, go out and use doe-n-estrus or buck urine to your advantage.
These aerosol cans are perfect. They’re easy to use, and you don’t have to worry about messes.
