The Pure Michigan advertising campaign has been very successful in branding the state as an exciting, enjoyable outdoor destination. With incredible scenery and families having fun outdoors, what’s not to like? However, the ad program is more than just about providing information to prospective tourist. The campaign sponsors three “hunt-of-a-lifetime” opportunities for lucky applicants who get to hunt any of the state’s legal game animals, including elk. Unlike some programs, you can work the hunts into your schedule and even transfer the tag to anther person. Here’s how the latest group of winners did on their Michigan hunts.
Every year, three lucky Pure Michigan Hunt winners get to live out their dreams by pursuing elk, bear, deer, turkey and ducks in Michigan’s great outdoors. This year has been filled with success for all three winners — Jason Eurich of Saginaw, Mike Sikkenga of Whitehall and Mike DiLorenzo of Rochester.
Eurich and DiLorenzo both were successful in harvesting turkeys during the spring season, and all three Pure Michigan Hunt winners were successful during their September elk hunts.
