If you have a new bow on your Christmas list, make sure his elves know about the new Mission MXB Sniper-Lite.

This fine-tuned version of the previous MXB 320 proved very effective for me when I was taking three bucks in firearm seasons, two of which were right at record-book class.

The Sniper-Lite is set apart from other crossbows because it has no cocking stirrup, which allows you to cock the bow with your leg muscles instead of your back and arms.

At under six pounds, the bow is short and light, ideal for stalking or small windows in tree stands.

The speed of the bow is 310 fps, with a 14-inch powerstroke and 150 pound draw. Doing the math, this is like shooting a 75-pound compound with a 28-inch draw, which is just perfect for whitetail deer.

Here are the specs from Mission. Perhaps most impressive is the price: just $599.
