A protester of a duck hunt in Western Victoria Australia accidentally got shot in the face as she waded through the water to save ducks that had been shot by hunters.
A hunter (a 14-year-old boy) was shooting at low-flying ducks when he accidentally shot the lady in the face. Other reports by witnesses says the boy was taunting the lady just before she received the birdshot to the face. Undoubtedly, those witnesses were with the same anti-hunting group of about 150 people that showed up.
Since the incident, the sport duck hunting has been in even more hot water in Australia than before. After questioning the boy, his uncle, and seizing the shotgun used in the accident, no charges were filed, and the pair were free to go.
