Few states have a specialized blackpowder turkey season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use primitive gear to add a special challenge to a hunt.
Both in-line and hammer percussion cap guns are a lot of fun to shoot. By experimenting with powder charges, pellet weights, and loading techniques, a front-loader can be effective at 30 yards, depending upon the choke.
