How to Approach Your Tree Stand or Hunting Blind [VIDEO]

In daylight hours, savvy hunters stalk their stands, keeping movement and noise to a minimum.

Wind direction is always critical and it’s better to circle a mile than to walk 100 yards with the wind blowing toward approaching deer.

Normally, we post stands over food sources, along well-traveled trails or at bottlenecks, yet how you approach that exciting spot can spell the difference between success and “There’s always next year.”

Wildlife biologist Grant Woods highlights this point in this brief video from the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
