Trail cameras are amazing devices and perform far more functions than capturing images of passing bucks. Many outdoor-minded people leave their cameras up year round and capture incredible images and video, such as this interaction between young and mature bald eagles.

Note the rib cage to the left of the birds, an indication that these scavengers were feeding on an animal carcass. You can increase the probability of capturing predators on you camera with road killed raccoons, possums, or other small animals as bait.

A spoiled deer carcass also can be used, yet double check your local regulations so that you don’t get ticketed by law enforcement.
