If you are a trapper, and your traps are set off, this might be why.
Watch as this deer mills around an area where a trap is set. It eventually steps on either the pan or jaw of the trap, and it fires. The deer was fine. This actually happens a lot more than non-trappers think.
It’s rare for a deer to be held by a trap, but it does happen on occasion. When it does, the deer can typically be safely removed.
