Keep the Peace at the Boat Ramp

“Please” and “thank you” may be the magic words, but on a busy day at the boat ramp, words like “full tank of gas” and a little know-how are even more valuable. Most anglers have experienced moments of waiting in the launch line behind someone whose battery is dead, coolers aren’t packed on their boat, or is hogging more space than they need at the launch site. Tom Keer offers helpful advice if you’ve ever struggled to keep the peace at the boat ramp.

“When the ramp turns into a circus my patience drains really fast. Rather than let my frustration ruin the day I’ve taken to helping out where I can. Some folks don’t get out on the water as much as they’d like to and that shows through their lack of experience. A little help goes a long way in the short run and in the long run you’ll help educate some of the folks who just need to be pointed in the right direction.”
