Javelina, which range throughout the arid South and Southwest, are fun to hunt, especially with small-caliber rifles and archery equipment. Javelina are blessed with a good sense of smell, but the same can’t be said for their eyesight. This allows hunters to often sneak within close range or just hang out and let the roaming animals come to them.
