As an outdoorsman, have you ever thought about how an animal approaches a trap location? Do animals, especially coyotes, come in fast and furious, or slow and easy?
I’ve always figured coyotes to be aggressive eaters, going in quick for what they want. I suppose that’s the case when their sense of danger is not at an all-time high.
Watch how this coyote works a set, and eventually steps onto the pan of a #4 dogless. It might make you think differently about scent control and about how you trap.
