There are a lot of sets and tactics used by trappers to control the raccoon population.
One of them is the bucket set. It’s a simple set, one that catches thousands and thousands of raccoons each year. But there’s more than one way to make a bucket set.
Some trappers like the 220 conibear in a round bucket. Others like a 160 conibear in a square bucket. I prefer the latter for a few reasons. The smaller 160 is more forgiving than a bigger 220. Also, the square bucket does not roll like a round bucket does. Watch this video to see what I mean.
